Pollaponk Biography (Полапонк Иcтория группы) участники Евровидение 2014. Исландия
Группа Pollaponk была основана в 2006 году гитаристами Харальдюром Фрейром Гисласоном и Хейдаром Орном Кристяунссоном из исландской пост-панк-группы Botnledja, которая чуть было не попала на "Евровидение" в 2003 году, заняв второе место в национальном отборе.
Pollaponk была создана, когда ребята заканчивали Исландский университет образования, а первый альбом группы стал частью дипломной работы Харальдюра и Хейдара, получавших образование учителей дошкольных учреждений. Ребята представили альбом вместе с основной работой и ставили своей целью создание амбициозной музыки, которая понравилась бы детям и взрослым.
В 2011 году группа была номинирована на премию Братства в номинации "Борьба с предубеждениями", поскольку поднимает эту тему в своем творчестве. На "Евровидении-2014" группа также выступает с песней "Без предрассудков" — No Prejudice, которую исполняет на английском языке, хотя в отборочном туре композиция звучала по-исландски.
